Steelhead Excursions takes anglers right into the heart of the Bulkley River, the largest tributary of the Skeena River system boasting the best steelhead fishing in Canada—quite possibly, the world. The Bulkley River offers pristine spey casting conditions for every fly angler: easy wading, perfect speed and depth and seriously aggressive surface oriented steelhead. 

Steelhead are the strongest freshwater game species on earth and Bulkley River plays host to the largest number of steelhead in the Skeena River drainage. You’ll quickly discover how aggressive Bulkley River steelhead are for either a dry fly or a sink-tip. Typically, a Bulkley steelhead weighs in around 12 pounds, but it can range anywhere from 4-30 pounds. Each season several 20-pound or larger steelhead are successfully hooked by our guests. 

Our fishing lodge offers spaciously cozy accommodations for all our fishing guests. The six bedrooms are equipped with double or queen-sized beds and the three full bathrooms are located right next to the rooms. We keep the atmosphere relaxed at the lodge, we want our guests to feel at home and enjoy everything about their stay.
