The Bulkley River supports the largest number of steelhead in the Skeena River system. These fish are aggressive to a dry fly or when flyfished on a sink-tip. The steelhead range from 6-30 lbs, with an average weight of 12 lbs. Each season several fish of 20 lbs or larger are hooked. The Bulkley River also has populations of Dolly Varden, Cutthroat and Rainbow trout, as well as Chinook, Coho and Pink Salmon.
The Bulkley River is a fly casters dream come true: easy wading, sufficient back cast and aggressive fish! Come join us from August 25 to November 15. Enquire about our special rates for early and late season. Experience a fish of a life time!
